Replacing single use plastics for Coopérative Agricole de Noirmoutier
Reducing plastic packaging is a major objective for La Coopérative Agricole de Noirmoutier, a group of producers of high-quality potatoes located on the island of Noirmoutier on the French Atlantic coast.
Our main challenge was to find a way of keeping the potatoes in good condition and well presented. So we created a 100% recyclable, corrugated board solution that guarantees the potatoes stay fresh whilst still on display seen through the packaging. Not only does our solution meet consumers' environmental expectations, it also complies with the anti-waste law signed in France on January 30, 2020, which bans plastic overwrapping of fresh fruits and vegetables weighing less than 1.5 kilograms.
