Change in the making
We’re DS Smith. We aren’t just making the packaging the world touches every day. We’re making change happen across our industry, with people who share our ambitions and want to make a positive difference. Care to join us?
Make yourself, shape tomorrow
We believe that a better, more sustainable, and inclusive tomorrow is possible when we bring together the right people. People with a real desire to make things happen. Who support and challenge each other to make a difference through their work. Every day. We’re redefining packaging for a changing world – from innovative new materials and designs, to game-changing engineering and data. It’s what inspires our team across the world. And we hope will inspire you too.
Together, we are making a difference
We’re committed to leading the change, not only for the benefit of the environment but also for our people and wider society. Throughout Europe and across North America we’ve built a culture that fosters authenticity and acceptance, stimulates creativity and drives the innovation that will help us all lead the transition to a low carbon, circular economy.
- Through active networks that represent and advocate for our diverse communities
- As one of only 19 Strategic Partners for the Ellen MacArthur Foundation
- By being one of only seven packaging companies in the world to commit to the UN’s Race to Zero
- Over a third of our senior team are women, including 37% at Board level and we’re striving to increase that number
- Our industry leading sustainability strategy, alongside company wide initiatives, are helping to drive our transition to a more sustainable future. Such as training on Circular Design Principles and local biodiversity projects in local communities.
Three divisions. One goal
We’re a global business made up of three core divisions. Together, they create a circular business model – collecting waste paper, recycling it to produce new paper, which we then turn into packaging. And this cycle can take as little as 14 days. Our drive towards a circular economy is a real solution to some of the biggest sustainability challenges the world is facing. Through it, we’re helping to tackle pollution, waste, biodiversity loss and climate change. Our teams are bringing this to life every day, and you could join them in this mission.
Our graduate programme
We welcome hundreds of talented individuals every year, and span a variety of opportunities. From our graduate programmes in Corporate Affairs and Finance as well as our Packaging, Paper and Recycling divisions. To apprenticeship schemes where you can earn whilst you learn, achieving a nationally recognised qualification or QCF accreditation (the Qualifications and Credit Framework).
Joining us at the start of your career means gaining exceptional experiences, diverse challenges and a culture where your voice is heard and valued. You’ll be supported to become the best version of yourself and build your own career.
